Production And Planning Engineer

Job Summary

The Production And Planning Engineer at Abdin Industrial is responsible for managing production planning and scheduling to ensure efficient resource use, smooth production flow, and timely achievement of production targets and delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and optimize master production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory, and plant capacity.
• Perform workload analyses to balance production demands with machinery, labor, and materials, resolving bottlenecks.
• Work with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to analyze trends and forecast manufacturing needs.
• Manage MRP systems to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components, avoiding stockouts and excess inventory.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Just-In-Time methods to reduce lead times and waste.
• Act as the main liaison among production, procurement, quality control, warehouse, and sales departments.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as schedule adherence and cycle times, reporting to executive management.
• Develop backup plans to handle supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, or demand surges to maintain production continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 2–4 years of experience in production planning, production control, manufacturing, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills for working with production data, schedules, capacity, and performance indicators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and preferably experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate across departments.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and shop-floor operations.
