Job Summary

Join Egis’ Building Projects Design Management Office in Amman as a Principal Structural Engineer. You will oversee structural design for large-scale building projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with local and international building codes while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the structural design process for large-scale building projects from concept to completion
• Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for various building types
• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors on multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and standards
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development
• Conduct site visits to assess structural integrity and provide expert recommendations
• Implement innovative structural solutions to optimize building performance and sustainability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 9-12 years of experience in structural engineering with focus on building projects
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale construction projects
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software including SAP2000, ETABS, and STAAD.Pro
• Strong skills in AutoCAD and BIM software such as Revit
• In-depth knowledge of local and international building codes and standards
• Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
