Principal Specialist, TechOps Solution

Job Summary

This role involves capturing requirements, troubleshooting current and future states, and defining solution plans aligned with platform and solution architects. It supports site-based deployments and manages solution delivery to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Capture Statements of Requirements for initiatives and demonstrate value over quarters.
• Define solution plans in coordination with Platform and Solution Architects and assist business units with site deployments and management.
• Translate business challenges and troubleshoot site-based evidence to identify specific solutions.
• Translate priority solution elements to meet Business Unit objectives for technology domains.
• Resolve technical and integration issues affecting initiative outcomes.
• Ensure solution designs are scalable, integrated, and comply with enterprise standards.
• Guide delivery teams including data scientists, engineers, and digital specialists to ensure correct implementation.
• Provide technical direction, design clarification, and quality oversight throughout delivery.
• Work with Domain Integrators and Business Partners to define initiative scope, success measures, and value hypotheses.
• Ensure initiatives align with KPIs, value outcomes, and priorities.
• Identify technical trade-offs, risks, and dependencies early.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining or Minerals Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial also applicable), Computer Science, or Data Science.
• 5–10 years of experience in technical, analytics, or technology delivery roles.
• Proven experience owning solution design and guiding delivery teams.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
