Principal Architect / General Manager – Architecture, Design & Fit-Out

Job Summary

The Principal Architect / General Manager will oversee the operations, project delivery, design quality, and business expansion of an established Architecture, Design, Multimedia & Signage company in Riyadh. The role focuses on managing F&B, retail, restaurant, café, and fit-out projects while growing the external client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead company operations, strategy, and overall business performance.
• Supervise architecture, interior design, fit-out, signage, and related projects.
• Manage full delivery of F&B, restaurant, café, retail, and commercial projects ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality outcomes.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, designers, project managers, and engineers.
• Review and approve design concepts, drawings, technical documents, and deliverables.
• Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and execute business strategies to expand beyond internal group projects and attract external clients across Saudi Arabia.
• Lead client presentations, proposals, commercial negotiations, and manage project profitability and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• At least 15 years of professional architectural experience with significant leadership roles.
• Minimum 7 years in senior management or leadership positions.
• Extensive experience in F&B, restaurant, café, retail, hospitality, commercial, and fit-out projects.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in business development, client acquisition, and external project growth.
• Strong knowledge of BIM and modern architectural/design technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of Saudi market and regulations; Saudi/GCC experience preferred.
• Strong network within Saudi/GCC F&B, retail, hospitality, and construction sectors is highly preferred.
