Performance Engineer – IT Operations

Job Summary

A Performance Engineer role supporting IT Operations and Command Center activities, focused on improving incident and problem management quality through performance analysis, technical insights, and Root Cause Analysis using Dynatrace and observability capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert Performance Engineering support for production and performance-related incidents
• Leverage Dynatrace to investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze application and infrastructure performance issues
• Support the Operations team during critical incident triage calls
• Perform Root Cause Analysis for complex, performance-related incidents and correlate observability data to identify probable causes
• Detect bottlenecks and areas of system degradation through application and system performance analysis
• Present detailed technical findings and recommendations to engineering and support teams
• Collaborate with Application, Middleware, Database, Network, and Infrastructure teams as needed
• Drive continuous improvement of incident and problem management processes

Requirements

• Technical Lead-level experience operating as a dedicated Performance Engineer
• Extensive, hands-on experience utilizing Dynatrace and modern observability tools
• Proven track record in conducting deep performance bottleneck analysis and troubleshooting
• Strong background in production incident investigation and executing comprehensive RCA
• Demonstrated experience supporting highly sensitive, mission-critical systems
• Previous experience working within banking or similarly strict, highly regulated environments
• Exceptional incident management and technical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills across technical and business domains
