PCG Testing Engineer

Job Summary

Lenovo seeks a PCG Testing Engineer to execute detailed product testing, document defects, support test environment setup, and provide usability feedback on PC hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Execute detailed testing of product functionality, performance, compatibility, and user experience based on test cases.
• Document and report defects found in hardware, system software such as Windows, drivers, and pre-installed applications, and assist in issue reproduction.
• Support setup of PC testing environments, including OS deployment, driver installation, peripheral connections, and test software configuration.
• Write selected test cases and provide usability and design feedback from an end-user perspective.
• Communicate actively with the team, respond quickly, and complete assigned testing tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Information, or related fields.
• Understanding of basic software testing concepts and strong interest in computer hardware.
• Minimum 2 years of testing experience.
• Experience in mobile devices, smart hardware, or consumer electronics is preferred.
• Familiar with Windows OS usage, troubleshooting, and system reinstallation.
• Knowledge of computer hardware components such as CPU, memory, and hard drive, and basic hardware identification skills.
• Basic knowledge of any programming language such as Python or PowerShell and ability to write simple scripts.
