Optical Technician

Job Summary

The Optical Technician role involves identifying customer needs, recommending optical products, supporting sales targets, and assisting with technical and fitting tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate frames, lenses, contact lenses, and sunglasses.
• Promote sales through conversion, upselling, cross-selling, and executing promotions.
• Meet individual sales goals and contribute to overall store performance.
• Provide a professional and engaging experience for customers.
• Handle customer inquiries and basic complaints effectively.
• Assist with prescription reading, product fitting, adjustments, and selection.
• Support opticians with technical requirements and verify prescriptions and product specifications.
• Ensure error-free product delivery and accurate transaction processing using the POS system.

Requirements

• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of optical and technical processes.
• Familiarity with POS and insurance systems.
• Attention to detail and quality-oriented approach.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree from a technical institute of optics.
• Excellent oral and written command of English and Arabic.
• SCFHS certification.
