Network Consulting Engineer

Job Summary

The Network Consulting Engineer will deliver expert consulting, architecture, design, deployment, troubleshooting, and technical support for enterprise and data center networks. The role requires strong Cisco networking skills, especially with Cisco Nexus and ACI, and involves customer-facing engagements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical relationships and provide consulting to major customers.
• Design, analyze, and optimize complex network environments.
• Resolve critical and complex network issues through troubleshooting.
• Lead workshops, technical assessments, and customer engagements.
• Provide both remote and onsite deployment and technical support.
• Create simulated network environments in test labs to address complex problems.
• Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco Nexus and ACI networks.
• Support network availability, capacity planning, monitoring, and management initiatives.

Requirements

• CCIE certification.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and ACI.
• Experience in large-scale network design and architecture.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise or data center networks.
• Knowledge of network management, availability, resiliency, and capacity planning.
• Strong customer-facing, consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience collaborating with technical account teams and engineering teams.
• Ability to lead complex technical engagements independently.
• At least 1 year of advanced network support experience.

Nice to haves

• Experience as Cisco Consulting Engineer, Network Consultant, or Solutions Architect.
• Experience with large enterprise, service provider, or data center environments.
• Experience conducting customer workshops, presentations, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Experience developing technical documentation, best practices, and reusable intellectual capital.
