Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, MELA

Job Summary

The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will support MELA activities in Jordan, focusing on evaluations, assessments, and performance management to inform decision-making and learning.

Responsibilities

• Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities across the Jordan MELA work order.
• Contribute to designing and implementing evaluations, assessments, and research activities.
• Assist in performance monitoring including indicator tracking and data analysis.
• Help develop evaluation scopes, methodologies, data collection tools, and analytical frameworks.
• Support qualitative and quantitative data collection, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation.
• Contribute to preparing evaluation and assessment reports and performance summaries.
• Review and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify trends and learning opportunities.
• Support data quality assurance and assist with portfolio reviews and learning events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, economics, public policy, social sciences, statistics, or related field; master’s preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, performance management, or related MEL work.
• Experience supporting evaluations, assessments, performance monitoring, or data analysis.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills.
• Experience preparing reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with donor-funded programs and U.S. Government foreign assistance preferred.
• Experience working in Jordan and/or the MENA region preferred.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.
