Microsoft Purview Engineer

Job Summary

Design, implement, and manage enterprise data protection solutions using Microsoft Purview. Configure auto-labeling policies, DLP controls, and sensitivity labels to classify and protect sensitive data across Microsoft 365 services while supporting compliance and audit activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement auto-labeling policies to automatically classify sensitive data based on content and context
• Develop and fine-tune trainable classifiers to improve detection of business-specific sensitive information
• Implement endpoint DLP policies to prevent data exfiltration from user devices, including USB and print restrictions
• Conduct data discovery and classification scans across structured and unstructured data repositories
• Manage sensitivity label lifecycle, including creation, modification, publishing, and retirement
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring DLP incidents and implement preventive controls
• Support audit and compliance activities by providing detailed reports, evidence, and classification insights
• Conduct user training sessions and awareness programs to improve adoption of data protection policies

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience implementing and managing enterprise data protection solutions using Microsoft Purview
• Skilled in data classification, sensitivity labeling, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Digital Rights Management (DRM) across Microsoft 365 services
• Proven ability to reduce data leakage risks and improve classification accuracy through effective policy design and incident management
• Experience with endpoint DLP policies and usage rights enforcement (view, edit, print, copy, forward restrictions)
• Ability to configure policy tips, user notifications, and label-based encryption and access controls
• Experience integrating Microsoft Purview with existing security tools and workflows
• Knowledge of role-based access controls (RBAC) for secure administration of compliance tools
• Saudi National required
