Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Administrator

Job Summary

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Administrator manages, maintains, and optimizes the organization’s D365 F&O ERP platform. This role collaborates with Finance and business departments to deliver system enhancements, automation, reporting, integrations, and user support aligned with operational and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including system settings, workflows, security roles, and business processes.
  • Manage application updates, patches, and feature deployments while ensuring system performance, availability, and data integrity.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system improvements.
  • Design and implement process improvements, automate manual workflows, and identify opportunities for increased ERP utilization.
  • Develop and maintain reports using Power BI and D365 reporting tools, including automated dashboards for management.
  • Support integrations between D365 F&O and other enterprise applications, coordinating with technical teams and vendors.
  • Manage application changes following change control procedures, including deployment testing and documentation.
  • Provide helpdesk support, troubleshoot system issues, and create user guides and training materials.

Must haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or related discipline; or accounting degree with extensive SUPER-USER experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in ERP administration or business systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, SQL/SQL Server, and ERP reporting tools.
  • Experience implementing ERP enhancements, process improvements, and supporting enterprise business applications.

Nice to haves

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience working in Finance or Accounting environments.
  • Experience with ERP implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and change management.
