MCX Solution Architect (Mission Critical Communications)

Job Summary

The MCX Solution Architect is responsible for designing and leading the deployment of mission-critical communication platforms, ensuring high availability, low latency, and secure interoperability across devices and networks for enterprise and industrial clients.

Responsibilities

• Design Mission Critical Services solutions including MCPTT, MCVideo, MCData with focus on QoS, priority, preemption, group communications, and service continuity.
• Create end-to-end solution blueprints covering access network, transport, core, IMS/application layer, dispatch and recording systems, device ecosystems, and integration interfaces.
• Lead vendor selection, validate solutions, and govern deployment processes including documentation, integration planning, cutover strategies, and acceptance testing.
• Define resilience architecture with geo-redundancy, active-active/active-standby setups, disaster recovery, backup and restore, and observability frameworks.
• Implement security-by-design principles and compliance measures for MCX services, including encryption, identity and key management, and auditability.
• Support test teams during ATP phases, defect qualification, and FAT/SAT readiness.
• Conduct technical workshops with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical designs and delivery backlogs.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience delivering mission-critical platform design and deployment in MCX, PS-LTE, or critical communications environments.
• Hands-on experience with vendors such as Hytera, Airbus, Motorola Solutions, or TDTech.
• Strong knowledge of 3GPP Mission Critical Services, IMS, VoLTE/VoNR, QoS/QCI/5QI, policy control, and session management.
• Ability to produce HLD/LLD documentation, test strategies, and operational readiness artifacts.
• Experience managing multi-vendor technical delivery programs.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills to align cross-functional teams and communicate technical strategies.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/telco cloud, containerized network functions, or CI/CD pipelines for network applications is a plus.
• Exposure to ETSI, 3GPP, or GSMA guidelines related to mission-critical communications is advantageous.
