Manufacturing and Design Engineer

Job Summary

The Manufacturing and Design Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and production of robotic solar panel cleaning systems, ensuring their manufacturability and integration with other teams.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and product solutions.
• Develop and update 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs.
• Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Collaborate with Production, Electrical, and Controls teams for integrated design solutions.
• Assist in selecting materials and components and liaise with suppliers as needed.
• Engage in prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
• Identify and resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
• Support ongoing improvements in product reliability, quality, and manufacturability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Experience preparing technical drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal, and assembly.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, or product development.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Good command of English.
• Experience in robotics, automation, renewable energy, or outdoor products is advantageous.
