Lead Developer

Job Summary

The Lead Developer will oversee the full software development lifecycle, providing technical guidance and collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions
• Offer technical leadership and mentor the development team
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, security, and coding standards compliance
• Work with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and stakeholders to define technical approaches
• Translate business requirements into technical tasks and supervise their implementation
• Manage Agile processes including sprint planning and technical estimations
• Resolve complex technical problems with effective solutions
• Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security standards

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in technical leadership
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go
• Experience with modern frameworks and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and system design
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile/Scrum methodologies

Nice to haves

• Experience leading distributed or remote engineering teams
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and container orchestration
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Arabic speaker is mandatory
