Lead Developer

Job Summary

The Lead Developer will oversee the full software development lifecycle, providing technical leadership and collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
• Review code to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and compliance with standards.
• Work with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical tasks and direct their implementation.
• Manage Agile development processes including sprint planning and technical estimations.
• Resolve complex technical problems and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security standards.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience with modern frameworks and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and system design.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice to haves

• Experience leading distributed or remote engineering teams.
• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and container orchestration.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Arabic language proficiency is mandatory.
