IT Systems Specialist

Job Summary

The IT Systems Specialist at EqanTech in Amman, Jordan, provides managed IT services including endpoint management, Microsoft 365, networking, hardware support, backup and recovery, documentation, and client support both remotely and onsite.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support Windows 11 endpoints and business applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and network issues; manage endpoint protection, patching, and backups.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Administer Microsoft 365 tenants, users, groups, licenses, and support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Provide professional remote and onsite IT support, managing incidents and service requests via ITSM platforms.
• Participate in client meetings, technical assessments, and presales activities including solution proposals and BOM preparation.
• Maintain accurate client documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and knowledge base articles; improve technical standards and processes.
• Travel regularly to client sites with a valid Jordanian driving license and personal vehicle; work flexibility including occasional weekends.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, networking, or Microsoft 365 administration.
• Practical knowledge of Windows desktop OS, TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
• Experience with ITSM, PSA, RMM, endpoint management, or IT documentation platforms preferred.
• Very good written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Valid Jordanian driving license and ownership of a reliable personal vehicle.
• Current certification: CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Nice to haves

• Experience in MSP or multi-client IT services environment.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) and CompTIA Security+ to be obtained during employment.
• Additional certifications like CompTIA A+ or other Microsoft, networking, endpoint management, cloud, or IT service management certifications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, customer service, and documentation skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
