IT Security Engineer

Job Summary

Join the Cybersecurity team as an IT Security Engineer responsible for managing and enhancing the organization’s security infrastructure. You will protect systems, networks, applications, and data against cyber threats through hands-on expertise in Microsoft security technologies, endpoint management, SIEM platforms, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard organizational systems, networks, and data.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, analyze security findings, and coordinate remediation activities across Windows servers and endpoints.
• Administer Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune environments for identity, access, and endpoint security management.
• Manage ManageEngine Endpoint Central for patch management, software deployment, operating system upgrades, BitLocker administration, and remote endpoint management.
• Administer and maintain Splunk for log collection, data forwarding, dashboard creation, correlation searches, monitoring, and incident investigation.
• Manage security solutions including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Trend Micro Vision One, XDR, and NDR platforms.
• Monitor security alerts, perform threat hunting activities, investigate security incidents, and coordinate response efforts across cloud, network, and endpoint environments.
• Implement security hardening standards, cybersecurity policies, and compliance controls aligned with Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) Cybersecurity Requirements.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or Security Operations.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, Splunk SIEM, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Trend Micro Vision One, XDR and NDR solutions, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, and threat hunting.
• Experience securing Windows Server and Windows endpoint environments.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, 802.1X authentication, and network security principles.

Nice to haves

• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200).
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
• Splunk Core Certified Power User / Admin, CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM certifications.
