IT Infrastructure and Systems Design Expert

Job Summary

This role leads and independently manages activities related to IT infrastructure and systems design at Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. It involves providing expert support, developing RFPs, assessing change requests, and reviewing performance against KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on latest technologies, gather business and technical requirements, evaluate current IT infrastructure, identify gaps, and develop detailed system designs addressing all business needs.
• Conduct requirement sessions with stakeholders, finalize RFPs for IT infrastructure and systems, and assist in vendor evaluation and selection with relevant teams.
• Analyze and prioritize change requests related to IT infrastructure and systems, recommend actions, and coordinate implementation schedules with involved functions.
• Collect inputs for IT risk assessments related to new technology introductions and collaborate with IT Infrastructure & Networks Planning & Monitoring to create risk mitigation plans.
• Review periodic performance reports of IT infrastructure and systems against KPIs, analyze results, and suggest improvements.
• Adhere to all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and controlled work execution.
• Support junior team members by resolving escalated issues and providing guidance to ensure efficient operations.
• Escalate complex problems appropriately to ensure proper resolution and closure.

• Train junior staff on job activities to facilitate knowledge transfer when applicable.
• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor junior staff workflow.
• Support junior staff or direct reports to ensure duties are performed according to policies and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent is required.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in IT Compliance, Project Management, Vendor Management, Professionalism, Results Oriented, and Customer Focus.
• Advanced skills in Infrastructure Management, IT Change Management, and IT Systems Management.
• Developing skills in Collaboration and Communication, and Enablement of Change and Innovation.
