IT Data Engineer

Job Summary

Join a leading Saudi healthcare organization as an IT Data Engineer based in Amman. You will design and develop scalable data platforms and pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, supporting the company’s digital and data transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Develop data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components including Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse
• Implement real-time and batch data processing capabilities across multiple data sources
• Design and maintain Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers to support analytics and reporting
• Integrate data from ERP systems, APIs, and external sources while ensuring data quality and consistency
• Automate data workflows and implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions
• Optimize data pipelines and processing frameworks for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions

Must haves

• 3-7 years of experience in data engineering or related technology fields
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in ETL development and cloud-based data solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based data services
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and automation
• Experience with Apache Spark, preferably PySpark
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)

Nice to haves

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and compliance frameworks
