IT Applications Senior Engineer

Job Summary

This role involves developing solutions to complex challenges, overseeing application development, conducting system and integration tests, and resolving escalated system and application issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture to stay updated on architecture and application development trends, establish policies and strategies for system architecture components, and ensure consistency.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to review IT projects and design consistent applications within large business change programs.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, create detailed component specifications, and translate them into architectures and designs for complex systems.
• Ensure adherence to solution standards balancing functional, service quality, and system management needs, and provide technical recommendations on system development and integration.
• Collect project needs with the project team, review user requirements, and determine system requirements including time and resources.
• Analyze system changes for impacts on resources, infrastructure, and costs, and assist in developing detailed technical specifications and designs.
• Support business application specification development, addressing design aspects and providing detailed programming specifications.
• Prepare inputs for testing, schedule and execute system and integration tests, and ensure they meet user needs effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Competencies include developing collaboration and communication skills, proficient professionalism, project management, IT compliance, IT change management, results orientation, customer focus, and solutions development planning and integration, with advanced software development skills and developing enablement of change and innovation.
