Information Assurance/Security Engineer

Job Summary

The Information Assurance/Security Engineer at GovCIO in Amman, Jordan, is responsible for translating security and business requirements into technical designs and implementing information assurance and security engineering systems. This is a fully onsite, full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the client to convert security and business needs into technical designs.
• Design and implement systems addressing business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, insider threat detection, and physical security.
• Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program lifecycle.
• Validate system security requirements and establish system security designs.
• Implement security designs across hardware, software, data, and procedures.
• Verify security requirements and conduct system certification, accreditation planning, testing, and liaison activities.
• Support secure system operations and maintenance.
• Configure and validate secure systems; test security products and systems to identify weaknesses; perform network scanning and vulnerability analysis.
• Ensure implementation of security features and safeguards per DoD/IC policies and industry best practices.
• Perform defense device system installation, configuration, maintenance, account and signature maintenance, patch management, and troubleshooting.
• Provide security certification testing and evaluation, vulnerability management and response, security assessments, customer support, and guidance on security issues.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 9+ years of experience or equivalent.
• TS/SCI clearance is required.
• State-accredited Professional Engineer (PE) license through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).

• Salary range: USD $94,150.00 – USD $101,316.80 per year.
