IBM DataPower Integration Designer

Job Summary

An experienced integration designer needed to gather business requirements, assess technical feasibility, and design secure, scalable integration solutions using IBM DataPower. The role involves collaborating across business, architecture, development, QA, and infrastructure teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Attend business and technical meetings to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into integration solutions.
• Conduct technical feasibility assessments and recommend optimal integration approaches aligned with core architecture.
• Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents according to defined standards.
• Design secure, scalable, and high-performing integration solutions using IBM DataPower.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during implementation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams for successful delivery.
• Apply enterprise integration, SOA, and middleware best practices in integration designs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in integration design, middleware, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience designing integration solutions using IBM DataPower.
• Strong understanding of SOA, enterprise integration, and middleware concepts.
• Strong knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, REST APIs, and XSLT.
• Experience designing DataPower services including Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy, and XML Firewall.
• Good understanding of integration security concepts including OAuth, SSL/TLS, AAA, and certificate management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Telecom domain experience is considered an advantage.
• Exposure to IBM API Connect or other API Management platforms is a plus.
