Job Summary
Lead the engineering organization at Torod, a SaaS company in the Shipping Management space. Shape technical direction, drive innovation, and oversee the delivery of scalable SaaS solutions while building and mentoring a high-performing engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the engineering organization and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement a technical vision and roadmap aligned with business strategy.
- Architect and build scalable, secure, and maintainable SaaS solutions using PHP and related technologies including Symfony.
- Recruit, build, and mentor a high-performing engineering team with a strong culture of ownership and accountability.
- Oversee all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Champion best practices in software development including code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, marketing, sales) to ensure seamless product development.
- Stay current with trends and technologies in the PHP ecosystem.
Must haves
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering leadership roles.
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep expertise in PHP development, including modern frameworks like Laravel and Symfony.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Nice to haves
- Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, Oracle).
- Experience building SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools.
