Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer delivers onsite technical service and maintenance for histopathology and associated instruments within Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on achieving high customer satisfaction while meeting organizational revenue and KPI targets through installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault analysis.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades on histopathology and ancillary equipment
• Conduct onsite installations of various histopathology and ancillary equipment
• Deliver accurate reporting and timely submission of Salesforce reports, expenses, stock management and service documentation
• Work closely with the Field Support Team to ensure customers receive professional after-sales service within established KPIs
• Support the sales team with customer training, installations, demonstrations and systems builds
• Document customer information in CRM and service management systems and exchange knowledge with product specialists
• Provide phone support and occasional helpdesk support to reduce customer downtime
• Perform root cause analysis in the field or at the manufacturing unit

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical subject
• 5 years of experience in Field Service or related histopathology equipment field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate across different levels internally and at customer sites
• Proven ability to learn independently in technical areas and build experience
• Ability to safely carry and move up to 25kg
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• High commitment to maintaining and improving service levels
• Open mindset and customer focus
• Knowledge of network configuration and setup such as firewalls and TCP/IP networking components in a Windows environment is advantageous
• Willingness to travel within defined territory up to 80% of the time
