Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer delivers onsite and office-based customer support for Badger Meter products and solutions. This role involves installation, commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of flow meters, water quality sensors, and related systems while providing technical expertise and high-quality service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission flow meters, water quality sensors, smart covers, network monitoring systems, and leak detection solutions with software integrations
• Implement and integrate devices using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RS485, HART, Mbus, and NB-IoT
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed equipment and handle repairs and global RMA processes
• Conduct onsite calibration and verification according to regional standards and project requirements
• Maintain accurate service logs, calibration reports, and field documentation
• Train channel partners, contractors, and end users on product operation, maintenance, and software usage
• Conduct regional workshops and develop training materials with support from product teams
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely closure of service tickets and customer requests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline
• 5 years of professional experience in field service roles within instrumentation, flow metering, analytical instruments, or industrial automation
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Strong knowledge of metering technologies (Flow and Energy), water quality sensors, and network monitoring solutions
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols: Modbus RS485, HART, Mbus, NB-IoT
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Saudi Arabia driver license
• Willingness to travel 60%
• Experience working with Saudi Arabia water utilities, contractors, or industrial clients is a strong advantage
