Environment Engineer

Job Summary

Egis seeks an Environment Engineer for its Riyadh office to support environmental management and compliance activities. You will monitor environmental performance, analyze data, and ensure regulatory compliance across construction projects while engaging with stakeholders and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Support construction environmental assurance activities through site inspections and compliance monitoring
• Implement and maintain environmental monitoring programs aligned with project and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain environmental documentation, reports and records for regulatory compliance
• Analyze environmental data to identify trends, non-compliances and required corrective actions
• Conduct environmental audits and inspections to verify compliance with policies and legal requirements
• Support regulatory liaison and coordinate environmental submissions to relevant authorities
• Engage and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulatory authorities and project stakeholders on environmental matters
• Prepare and present environmental monitoring results and compliance findings to stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant professional environmental experience
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar discipline
• GCC and Saudi Arabia experience, including construction environmental assurance and environmental monitoring
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards and permitting processes applicable to Saudi Arabia
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex environmental data
• Demonstrated experience in regulatory liaison and engagement with relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills to communicate environmental monitoring and compliance information clearly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
