Job Summary
SGS seeks an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to oversee commissioning of low and medium voltage systems, power distribution infrastructure, and fire safety systems in data center environments. The role involves functional testing, compliance verification, and integration of life-safety systems across multiple technical domains.
Responsibilities
- Commission LV and MV systems in data centers including UPS, STS, PDU, RPP, generators, and fuel systems
- Perform functional testing of power distribution systems and emergency power scenarios
- Commission fire and life safety systems in data centers including VESDA, clean agent systems (Novec/FM-200), fire alarms, and MEP system interlocks
- Conduct integrated life-safety testing during IST scenarios
- Ensure compliance with Tier III concurrent maintainability requirements
- Apply knowledge of NFPA, local civil defense, and international standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university
- 12+ years of relevant experience in commissioning or related field
- Familiarity with Tier III concurrent maintainability requirements
- Knowledge of NFPA, local civil defense, and international standards
- Experience with data center power systems (UPS, STS, PDU, RPP, generators)
- Experience with fire and life safety systems (VESDA, clean agent systems, fire alarms)
