Dynatrace Engineer

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing and enhancing the Dynatrace monitoring platform to convert data from applications, infrastructure, and user experience into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve Dynatrace for applications and infrastructure monitoring.
• Create dashboards, alerts, synthetics, and Real User Monitoring setups.
• Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to detect performance problems and root causes.
• Oversee releases and proactively identify risks related to performance, reliability, and capacity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure, and Security teams to enhance observability.
• Manage monitoring coverage, platform efficiency, and Dynatrace usage.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to speed up analysis, automation, and reporting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in monitoring, observability, or application performance engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of OneAgent, ActiveGate, DQL, dashboards, synthetics, RUM, and Davis AI.
• Experience with Datadog, ELK/Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Experience monitoring Kubernetes, .NET applications, databases, and cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Bash and PowerShell.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI/agentic tools such as Copilot, Claude, Codex, or Gemini.

Nice to haves

• Dynatrace certification.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, government, or other regulated industries.
