Director – Technical Design

Job Summary

Lead the technical design and engineering operations for large-scale development projects at Qiddiya Investment Company. This director-level role oversees technical teams, manages complex projects, and ensures alignment between technical delivery and strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and direction for the technical department aligned with company objectives
• Mentor and develop engineering teams to enhance their skills and expertise
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects to specifications, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate all technical aspects of projects effectively
• Identify areas for improvement in technical operations and develop strategies to enhance efficiency
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align technical requirements with business objectives
• Ensure adherence to relevant local and international standards, regulations, and best practices
• Maintain documentation of technical specifications, project plans, and compliance records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 12 years of experience in a leadership role within technical services or engineering management in large-scale development or construction projects
• Experience applying project management methodologies and principles
• Experience collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Experience driving innovation and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in technical operations
• In-depth knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to large-scale projects
• Experience with risk management and problem-solving in complex environments
• Experience preparing technical documentation and reports
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus
