Director – Tech Consulting – Data & AI

Job Summary

Lead technology-enabled transformation programmes for Mining & Metals and asset-intensive clients across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Act as a trusted adviser to C-suite executives, originating and delivering large-scale consulting engagements that bridge business, operations and technology to unlock digital and data-driven value.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of technology-enabled transformation agendas for Mining & Metals and other asset-intensive clients across Saudi Arabia and the GCC
• Serve as trusted adviser to CIOs, CTOs, COOs and business leadership, translating strategic priorities into transformation roadmaps and investment cases
• Originate, shape and convert major opportunities through account planning, executive relationship development, proposal leadership and commercial negotiation
• Oversee delivery of large, complex programmes from strategy through implementation, maintaining focus on quality, value realisation, risk management and client satisfaction
• Bring together multidisciplinary capabilities across technology strategy, data and AI, digital operations, enterprise platforms, cloud, operational technology and cyber
• Build and lead senior consulting teams, mentor future leaders and contribute to practice capability and thought leadership
• Collaborate across EY’s regional and global network to bring sector, functional and technology expertise to engagements
• Provide market leadership through senior client forums, industry relationships and relevant points of view

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in technology consulting, industry technology leadership or large-scale transformation roles
• Deep Mining & Metals experience preferred, with experience in other heavy industries also considered
• Strong understanding of mining operations, processing plants, industrial assets and digital operations environments
• Experience leading technology-enabled transformations from strategy through implementation
• Established relationships with CIOs, CTOs and business leadership teams across the GCC
• Proven business development, account leadership and team leadership experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related discipline
• Extensive leadership experience within a recognised consulting firm, a leading Mining & Metals organisation or another major asset-intensive enterprise
• Professional proficiency in English required; Arabic language capability is advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in Saudi Arabia and/or the wider GCC market is strongly preferred
