Database Expert (Oracle, SQL Server, Exadata)

Job Summary

Manage and optimize multiple database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and Exadata. Design secure database configurations, implement performance solutions, and ensure operational excellence across enterprise database environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle databases with expertise in performance tuning, security best practices, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
• Manage Exadata architecture including storage configuration, performance optimization, and integration with Oracle database features
• Administer SQL Server databases covering performance optimization, security implementation, high availability, and backup recovery
• Administer MySQL databases including performance optimization, security configuration, replication, and backup procedures
• Design and implement secure database configurations across Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and Sybase environments with defined security policies
• Develop automation scripts to improve database administration efficiency and monitor database health and performance
• Troubleshoot complex database issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions for performance degradation and data corruption
• Participate in database change management including planning, execution, and rollback procedures

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Oracle DBA roles
• Strong experience with OCI, Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate
• Experience in database migration and performance tuning
• Expert-level understanding of Oracle Database Administration including SQL optimization, indexing, security, high availability, and backup recovery
• Expert-level understanding of SQL Server Administration including query tuning, security features, Always On Availability Groups, and backup procedures
• Expert-level understanding of MySQL Administration including query optimization, replication configurations, and backup strategies
• Knowledge of database design principles, capacity planning, and resource allocation
• Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging database technologies
