Database Administrator

Job Summary

Manage and secure database environments across various platforms to ensure performance, availability, recoverability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Administer databases including MS SQL, IBM Db2, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments
• Monitor database performance and perform tuning, optimization, and defragmentation
• Handle backup and restore processes, patching, version upgrades, and support disaster recovery readiness and testing
• Support security and compliance through access management, system hardening, and audit documentation
• Troubleshoot database issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and maintain documentation and inventories

Requirements

• More than 3 years of practical experience in DBA operations
• Proficient in one or more of MS SQL, IBM Db2, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB
• Relevant DBA certifications are preferred (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Willingness to work during after-hours maintenance and participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation
