Data Scientist I

Job Summary

The Data Scientist I at MOZN will assist in developing AI and analytical solutions focused on detecting financial fraud and mitigating AML risks, working closely under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building use cases for fraud detection, AML, and Generative AI
• Help develop and test machine learning and Generative AI models, including prompt engineering and RAG pipelines
• Prepare, clean, and analyze both structured and unstructured data
• Support training, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models
• Assist in experiments using large language models for document analysis, alert summarization, and data enrichment
• Complete assigned tasks within project plans under guidance
• Keep updated on trends in fraud, AML, and Generative AI

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in data science or analytics
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and exposure to Generative AI or large language models
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with data extraction, cleaning, and basic visualization
• Familiarity with model evaluation and feature engineering
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
