Data Architect / Data Engineer (AI Hub)

Job Summary

Join EY’s AI Hub to design and deliver modern data platforms that enable data-driven transformation. You will assess current-state architecture, identify gaps, and define improvement roadmaps across data governance, protection, migration, and cloud enablement while managing up to two projects in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end data architecture blueprints and target-state roadmaps aligned to business goals
• Design modern data platforms including data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse patterns across cloud and big data ecosystems
• Build and govern scalable ingestion and integration approaches for batch and streaming data, including event-driven architecture
• Establish and apply data management frameworks including metadata management and end-to-end data lineage
• Apply data governance and data protection principles in partnership with cybersecurity and data protection teams
• Identify, assess, and manage data risks including data quality, access controls, retention, and regulatory compliance
• Lead delivery across project lifecycle phases including requirements definition, business re-engineering, and application mapping while supervising teams
• Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting market growth

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree and approximately 7+ years of related work experience
• Data Architecture certifications required
• At least 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in a global consulting firm managing a team of at least 4 people
• Hands-on experience with big data platforms such as Cloudera, Informatica, and Databricks, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of NoSQL concepts
• Experience with Hive in big data environments and hands-on familiarity with ETL/ELT design including Informatica-based implementations

Nice to haves

• Proficiency in Arabic
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent Azure data certification
• AWS certification relevant to data platforms
• CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), TOGAF (architecture certification), or CISSP (security certification)
