Job Summary
The Data Analyst – GIS & Fleet Performance role supports the Command & Control Centre by collecting, validating, analysing, and reporting on operational, GIS, GPS, and fleet data to enhance fleet utilization, route efficiency, and overall operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyse data related to fleet, GPS, GIS, operations, and service performance.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, trip volumes, travel distances, working hours, route adherence, and key performance indicators.
- Identify operational trends, abnormalities, variances, and performance gaps, recommending corrective actions.
- Compare planned versus actual routes, trips, vehicle usage, and operational outcomes.
- Use GIS and digital mapping to analyse service areas, routes, vehicle movements, and coverage.
- Analyse GPS and fleet-tracking data to assess vehicle movements, route compliance, and efficiency.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and KPI trackers using Microsoft Excel and other tools, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Support the Command & Control Centre by monitoring daily fleet activities, collaborating with operational teams, and assisting in issue resolution.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, GIS, fleet performance, operational reporting, or similar roles.
- Experience with GIS systems, digital mapping, GPS, and fleet-tracking platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, KPI reporting, data analysis, and dashboard creation.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work shifts and operate effectively within a Command & Control Centre environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, GIS, or related field.
- Experience in fleet management, transportation, waste management, facilities management, or logistics is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
