Job Summary
The Cloudera Administrator manages and maintains the systems and infrastructure supporting data management and analytics solutions. The role ensures the platform remains stable, secure, and performs optimally.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain platform components
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Implement security measures and ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage storage, backup, resiliency, availability and recovery systems
- Automate and script platform tasks to improve efficiency
- Maintain network infrastructure and monitoring/logging systems
- Collaborate with Development and Operations teams to align platform with organizational goals
- Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance platform performance and scalability
- Create and maintain technical documentation for installation, upgrades, testing and architecture
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Hadoop/Cloudera administration
- Hands-on experience with Cloudera Manager, CDH/CDP and Hadoop ecosystem tools
- Linux administration and shell scripting experience
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Ambari, Nagios and Splunk
- Familiarity with security protocols and integration including LDAP, Kerberos and TLS
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and data pipeline issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
