Cloud Operations Head

Job Summary

The Cloud Operations Head leads cloud infrastructure and multi-cloud management platforms to ensure operational excellence, security, and cost efficiency in hybrid and multi-cloud telecom environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud operations strategies aligned with telecom and IT transformations such as 5G, NFV, and cloud-native technologies.
• Establish governance and operating models for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Manage 24/7 cloud operations ensuring high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes while maintaining SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs.
• Design and execute cloud operations transformation plans and roadmaps for cloud migrations and deployments.
• Collaborate on capacity planning and resource forecasting to meet telecom service demands.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost efficiency without compromising reliability and performance.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure security compliance, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Over 20 years of experience in IT and telecom infrastructure operations.
• More than 10 years of leadership experience in cloud, infrastructure, or platform operations teams.
• Strong background in telecom environments including 5G, NFV, OSS, and BSS platforms.
• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Excellent strategic planning, leadership, and communication skills at the executive level.
• Experience managing large, geographically distributed, multi-vendor teams.
• Technical expertise in telecom technologies, cloud platforms, virtualization, containerization, and cloud-native architectures.
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
