Business Development Representative – Tenders (ERP for EV)

We’re hiring on behalf of one of our clients in the EV charging sector for a Business Development Representative (Tenders) who knows how to find, qualify, and win tenders across Jordan, Saudi Arabia (KSA), Qatar, Egypt, UAE (Dubai), Türkiye, and the wider MENA & Gulf region.

About Our Client

Our client provides a Charging Station Management System (CSMS) that operates as a comprehensive ERP solution for EV charging networks. They help operators manage:

  • Charging station operations
  • Financial tracking and billing
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Overall operational control

Your role will be to make sure our client appears in the right tenders with strong, complete, and competitive submissions.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, preparing and submitting proposals, coordinating requirements, tracking deadlines, and managing strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple markets.

Your mission is simple: find the right tenders → evaluate → prepare → apply → follow up until awarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Search daily for relevant tenders across Jordan, KSA, Qatar, Egypt, UAE / Dubai, Türkiye, Gulf & MENA.
  • Use government portals, semi-government platforms, private-sector procurement sites, EV/energy infrastructure platforms, global tender directories, and any other relevant sources to find tenders.
  • Screen, evaluate, and prioritize tenders based on the company’s scope (EV charging, CSMS, ERP, software solutions, mobility, energy sector, technology, SaaS).
  • Prepare and submit tender documentation, including technical forms, commercial forms, compliance requirements, financial proposals, certificates, and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (product, tech, business) to gather the needed inputs and ensure accurate submissions.
  • Manage the full tender lifecycle: requirements, documentation, submission, clarifications, follow-up, and award.
  • Build and maintain relationships with procurement contacts, tender authorities, partners, and channel distributors.
  • Track deadlines, renewals, and required documents with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clear pipeline of tender opportunities and share regular status and performance updates.
  • Keep databases of portals, logins, requirements, and submission guidelines up to date.
  • Support wider business development activities related to energy, EV charging, digital platforms, and software solutions.
  • Document the outcome of each tender (won, lost, or not submitted), including the reasons and key learnings, to continuously improve our tender strategy.

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, tenders, procurement, or administrative roles dealing with formal documents or submissions.
  • Fluent Arabic and English, spoken and written.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills in Arabic and English, including filling forms, writing clear emails, preparing tender documents, and consistently recording details, reasons, and learnings from each tender.
  • Strong research skills and confidence using and navigating online tender portals and platforms to find tenders across multiple MENA and Gulf countries.
  • Highly competitive and resourceful mindset, goes beyond basic information, keeps researching, asking questions, digging, and testing different angles to understand how to win and close tenders, not just submit them.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with procurement teams, suppliers, partners, and tender authorities.
  • High attention to detail in forms, numbers, attachments, and deadlines.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tenders at the same time.
  • Comfortable working fully remote and using digital tools (email, spreadsheets, shared drives, CRM or tracking tools).
  • A strong follow-up mindset with the persistence to chase updates and keep all stakeholders engaged until the tender is awarded or formally closed.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Direct experience with tender submissions (RFPs, RFQs, bids, government or semi-government portals) including finding tenders, preparing proposals, submitting through portals, and managing compliance and documentation.
  • Experience with tenders in sectors such as EV charging networks, energy, renewable energy, software, SaaS, ERP platforms, technology, or Charging Station Management Systems (CSMS).
  • Familiarity with procurement or tender rules in one or more of: Jordan, KSA, Qatar, UAE, Egypt, Türkiye, and the wider Gulf & MENA region.
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing environment.

Compensation

  • Basic salary + commission based on awarded tenders.
  • The detailed commission structure will be shared during the interview process.
