Job Summary
The Business Development Representative reports to the Managing Director for Middle-East and Africa and works closely with sales, pre-sales and marketing teams. The role focuses on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in the MEA market by targeting key personas, building intelligence, and engaging prospects through multiple channels.
Responsibilities
- Initiate communication via phone, email, social media and face-to-face meetings with relevant stakeholders to deliver SimCorp messages.
- Screen, qualify and nurture inbound marketing leads using SimCorp’s sales best practices and BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need and Timeline).
- Support Account Based Marketing for key target accounts to build intelligence, share targeted content and uncover opportunities.
- Monitor government and public sector industries for issued tenders.
- Oversee the invitation process for SimCorp promotional activities to attract and retain prospective and current client interest.
- Enrich, update and clean the CRM system SalesForce with new contacts and keep account information current.
- Log all interactions in SalesForce and use SalesForce reports to support work activities.
- Provide product and solution information to prospective and current customers and maintain knowledge of industry and competitive positioning.
Requirements
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position at a capital markets firm or software solutions provider servicing buy-side or sell-side markets.
- Basic understanding of capital markets, investment operations and portfolio management systems via studies or professional experience.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Understanding of complex solution selling and consultancy approach to sales.
- Ability to make high volume of outreaches to present ideas and concepts that lead to prospect and client engagements.
- Advanced PC skills including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SimCorp or competing products and services is advantageous.
- Learn and effectively utilize SimCorp selling concepts and techniques.
- Develop and maintain solid knowledge of SimCorp product offerings and solution features and benefits.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and provide feedback on marketing campaigns.
