Back End Developer (Node.js)

Job Summary

Systems Arabia is seeking an experienced Back-End Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js. The role focuses on backend architecture, databases, API development, security, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations
• Design database schemas and optimize queries
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability
• Write unit, integration, and API tests
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, and product teams

Requirements

• 4–7 years of professional backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases
• Good knowledge of database design, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience with Redis or other caching technologies
• Understanding of JWT/OAuth and application security
• Experience with Git and CI/CD
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms; experience with microservices, message queues, or AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus
