Analytics Manager

Job Summary

The Analytics Manager at Gathern leads the transformation of analytics from a reporting function into a trusted decision-making engine. This role involves building and managing a high-performing analytics team that supports leadership with data-driven insights to improve company KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a comprehensive KPI framework linking North Star and functional KPIs with clear ownership and certified definitions.
• Lead the analytical aspects of annual and quarterly planning, including building driver-based models and scenario simulations for leadership and Finance.
• Manage monthly and quarterly performance reporting, explaining significant deviations with root causes and recommended actions.
• Set quarterly data-driven priorities for each function, track adoption of recommendations, and measure their impact on KPIs.
• Design experiments and post-launch measurements for key initiatives.
• Ensure certified metrics, definition control, and dashboard quality across the company to maintain a single source of truth.
• Hire, coach, and develop the analyst team, review their work for quality, and assign them to business functions.
• Manage demand intake and prioritization to focus the team on high-value work rather than ad-hoc requests.

Must haves

• 6-8+ years in analytics with at least 2 years leading analysts.
• Experience in a consumer marketplace or two-sided platform at scale-up stage (e.g., travel, rideshare, delivery, e-commerce).
• Ownership of KPI frameworks, planning models, and executive-level performance reviews.
• Experience building or advancing an analytics function beyond reporting.
• Advanced SQL skills (BigQuery preferred) and proficiency with BI tools like Metabase.
• Strong skills in forecasting, scenario modeling, variance analysis, and experimentation.
• Excellent written and spoken English with board-level communication ability.

Nice to haves

• Arabic language skills.
• Experience in GCC or MENA markets.
• Experience defining data science use cases.
