AI Engineer

Job Summary

The AI Engineer at Apps Wave Information Technology will develop, integrate, and deploy AI solutions focusing on Computer Vision and Generative AI, ensuring models are production-ready and optimized for performance and cost.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize computer vision models for detection, classification, tracking, and behavior analysis.
• Manage image and video datasets including preprocessing, labeling, cleaning, and augmentation.
• Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve machine learning and deep learning models.
• Integrate AI models into backend services and production pipelines.
• Optimize model inference for latency, throughput, resource use, and cost.
• Develop Generative AI and LLM-powered features such as prompting, structured outputs, and tool/function calling.
• Create agentic workflows combining LLMs, tools, retrieval, and external systems.
• Design and maintain RAG pipelines including embeddings, chunking, vector search, and context assembly.

Must haves

• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Applied AI, or Generative AI.
• Strong Python programming and software engineering skills.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar deep learning frameworks.
• Experience working with image/video datasets and ML data pipelines.
• Experience integrating ML models into production systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool/function calling.

Nice to haves

• Experience with Docker and model deployment workflows.
• Exposure to MLOps, experiment tracking, model versioning, and monitoring.
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs for model inference.
• Familiarity with multimodal AI, VLMs, OCR, vision-language pipelines, and LLM serving frameworks like vLLM or TGI.
