Job Summary

The CoE (Center of Engineering) Lead oversees the engineering team, ensures technical objectives are met, and drives talent growth within the organization while maintaining high quality standards for products and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering team and ensure effective and efficient utilization of team members through leadership, guidance, and support
• Develop and implement staffing strategies, processes, and procedures to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
• Support skills distribution across the CoE to maintain a balance of freshers, juniors, mid-level, and senior-level engineers
• Conduct performance reviews with engineering team members to ensure targets are met and identify improvement areas
• Develop and implement strategies for cross-skilling, talent attraction, and training and mentoring programs
• Collaborate with internal teams including HR, procurement, and facilities to ensure the team has necessary resources for project delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in technology, including project delivery or product build, with team staffing experience
• 5+ years of experience in team or department management of 50+ people with cross-functional team building experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate engineering and technical professionals
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, including agile, waterfall, and mixed team organization models
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office 365, JIRA, Confluence, and GIT
• Experience and background in one or several areas including Java, Golang, Android, Base24, Way4 Switch, Postilion, Testing and test automation, Solution Design and Architecture for payment systems, Talend, Python, Control-M, Infrastructure, Card Management Systems, Middleware, Cloud, Falcon, PRM, Loyalty, SMS, or Qlik
• Basic experience in the payment’s domain is preferred but not mandatory
