Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will focus on ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of production applications and infrastructure, while collaborating with various teams to enhance system resilience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enhance the reliability and performance of production systems.
• Develop and maintain observability tools using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or similar technologies.
• Create monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to detect and resolve production issues proactively.
• Engage in incident response, troubleshoot failures, and conduct post-incident reviews.
• Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and key reliability metrics.
• Automate operational tasks and support infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Analyze performance to identify bottlenecks and assist in capacity planning.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform, Development, and Database teams to improve deployment and recovery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or production infrastructure operations.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or Azure Monitor.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in applications, infrastructure, and production environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Linux, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python), and operational automation.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience in incident management, monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of application performance, API monitoring, and database troubleshooting, preferably with .NET and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with SLOs, SLIs, performance testing, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Interest in using AI-assisted tools for troubleshooting, automation, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with cross-team collaboration ability.
