Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer

Job Summary

This role involves providing technical support to customers, sales, service centers, and warranty teams, focusing on upgrades and services mainly in the Oil & Gas, Power, and Water sectors.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical queries and attend meetings with customers for clarifications.
• Support service centers and field service by reviewing inspection reports, recommending repair methods, identifying failure causes, and suggesting upgrades.
• Guide complex equipment strip down, assembly, setting, commissioning, and troubleshooting in coordination with experts.
• Perform root cause failure analysis by collecting data, reviewing site reports, and preparing detailed analysis reports with recommendations.
• Conduct on-site performance assessments using vibration analyzers, ultra-sonic flow meters, and thermodynamic methods, followed by data analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with Sulzer factories and overseas engineering teams to obtain equipment information for customer support and failure analysis.
• Collaborate with Sales, Tendering, and Engineering teams to develop repair and retrofit proposals that meet customer needs and are executable.
• Carry out detailed engineering for equipment modifications and upgrades, including managing drawings, Bill Of Materials, and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry.
• Experience with centrifugal pumps and turbomachinery for Water, Power, and Oil & Gas industries.
• Knowledge of industry processes, practices, and standards.
• Proficiency in rotating equipment design and selection software.
• Design, drafting, and CAD (2D/3D) skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel 30% to 40% nationally and internationally, with assignments lasting from 1 day to 2 weeks.
• Skills in communication, customer relationship management, time management, adaptability, attention to detail, technical and commercial acumen, and project management.
