Manager Software Development

Job Summary

This role manages a team responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting software products and applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and support of enterprise-scale software applications and integration services.
• Manage design, enhancement, and delivery of software solutions using Java, CoolGen, and related technologies.
• Ensure software quality, security, performance, and reliability.
• Oversee software releases, system enhancements, defect resolution, and reporting functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle including planning, resource allocation, testing, deployment, and support.
• Promote best practices, development standards, and process improvements to enhance delivery and maintainability.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a Software Engineering environment.
• Strong experience in software development and maintenance in enterprise-scale, mission-critical settings.
• Proven expertise in Java application development and support.
• Knowledge of CoolGen development and maintenance is highly desirable.
• Understanding of system integration, APIs, web services, and distributed architectures.
• Experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolving complex technical and production issues.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, change management, and quality assurance.
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies, including data analysis and reporting.
• Strong planning, prioritization, resource management, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
