Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide remote technical support for construction supervision projects across the Middle East, focusing on reviewing technical submittals and design documentation to ensure compliance with approved designs and standards.
Responsibilities
- Examine electrical technical submittals, shop drawings, material submissions, and related documentation.
- Assess contractor design proposals and modifications against approved designs and project criteria.
- Evaluate electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and building services.
- Detect design inconsistencies, technical problems, and potential conflicts in contractor submissions.
- Review BIM models and multidisciplinary data using BIM and Navisworks software.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to coordinate technical feedback for integrated reviews.
- Analyze responses to RFIs and technical inquiries concerning electrical design and installation.
- Assist the Construction Supervision team with technical evaluations throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 5 years of experience in the Middle East, especially in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and/or Qatar.
- Previous role as a Senior Engineer or higher.
- Extensive experience in construction supervision and design/submittal review.
- Experience reviewing contractor shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in BIM and Navisworks software.
- Good knowledge of multidisciplinary building services coordination.
- Capability to work effectively in a remote technical review and supervision setting.
