Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Structural Engineer will oversee the erection and installation of steel structures for overground metro stations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with standards during construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise steel structure erection and installation for OG metro stations including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
• Ensure structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and codes such as IS, IRC, and Eurocode.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve on-site technical issues.
• Monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety adherence.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works, highlighting non-conformities and corrective measures.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals related to steel structures.
• Collaborate with design teams to manage site-related design changes or clarifications.
• Maintain proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and quality records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in building projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
