Senior Systems Engineer – SCADA Expertise and OCC

Job Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer – SCADA Expertise and OCC at Parsons is responsible for overseeing SCADA system design, operations, and maintenance within metro control center environments, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop rules and procedures for Operations, CBTC systems, and regulations.
• Manage requirements including refinement and traceability.
• Analyze system performance and design options.
• Lead design reviews focusing on operational and maintenance aspects of SCADA, MMIS, and related subsystems.
• Prepare test cases for SCADA commissioning and acceptance.
• Review and approve operational safety cases and OCC layouts based on task analysis.
• Evaluate contracts, specifications, and Factory Acceptance Test procedures for compliance.
• Coordinate with design/build contractors and suppliers to ensure scope and compliance.

Must haves

• At least 12 years of experience in Metro Control Center Operations.
• Extensive experience in Operations and Maintenance.
• Experience as a Systems Engineer on large projects.
• Operation Control Center experience.
• Background in Rail/Metro industry.
• Knowledge of Rail Systems, ERTMS, Asset Protection, Systems Engineering, Operations development, and SCADA.
• Understanding of maintenance concepts and RAMS requirements.
• Chartered Engineer certification.

Nice to haves

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Project experience in rail/metro industry.
• Working knowledge of CBTC, MMIS, SCADA, and Networking Functions.
