Job Summary

The Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer at A27 will lead the technology and engineering efforts to develop a scalable, secure platform that enhances the asset lifecycle in private capital markets using AI and financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and engineering roadmap from early product stages to scalable systems ensuring security and reliability.
• Lead development of AI-enabled products that transform complex financial data into structured intelligence.
• Build and manage a modern data platform for financial data ingestion, processing, structuring, serving, and monitoring.
• Implement responsible AI practices including accuracy, model monitoring, explainability, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Develop integration layers with financial institutions, market participants, and third-party data providers.
• Set technical standards for code quality, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and documentation.
• Establish strong security, privacy, and data governance foundations to meet enterprise procurement and regulatory requirements.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions for infrastructure, data providers, and core components.
• Prepare groundwork for tokenization of real-world assets including blockchain, custody, and smart-contract architecture.
• Hire, develop, and lead an engineering and data team based in Riyadh.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO, customers, and compliance teams to translate financial workflows into products.

Requirements

• Experience shipping AI/ML or data-intensive products into production.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in AI, data platforms, or information processing.
• Background in fintech, financial services, capital markets, or regulated, accuracy-critical domains.
• Proven ability to convert complex data into structured, reliable tools with measurable business impact.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading engineering teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Ownership mindset with high standards for reliability, security, and scalable architecture.
• Effective communication skills with engineers, executives, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Based in Riyadh or willing to relocate; role requires on-site leadership.
• English proficiency required; Arabic is a plus.
• Bonus experience includes AI-driven document extraction, financial-data modeling, open banking, blockchain, digital assets, tokenization, enterprise-grade security/compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001), regulated fintech products, or early-stage engineering leadership.
